How To Use Acorn To Set Up A Savings Account

Acorn is a phone app that allows you to round up all your purchases to the next dollar, so you can deposit the change in an investment account. Here’s how it works:

1 – Say you purchase groceries that total $78.10.

2 – Your purchase rounds up to $79.00 and the remainder, or the “change” of 90 cents will go into your investment account.

In addition, you can do other small investments. If you have a spare $10 for the week, you can invest that.
