Places That Lack Education In U.S.

There are some places in the U.S. where people severely lack education. Even though the U.S. has many of the world’s top universities, not all American citizens have higher education. Besides a college education, there are some places where the adults don’t even have a high school education.

Here are some cities where the population lacks education:

  • Windham County Connecticut – Nearly 22% of 25 year olds do not have a college education.
  • Aroostook County, Maine: 17% of 25 year olds do not have a college degree.
  • Sussex County, Delaware: Nearly 21% of 25 year olds do not have a college degree.
  • Kalawao County, Hawaii: Nearly 43%  of 25 year olds do not have a college degree.
  • Hardee County Florida: Nearly 35% of 25 year olds do not have a high school diploma.
  • Starr County, Texas: Nearly 53% of 25 year olds do not have a high school diploma.
