Costly Home Repair Time Bombs

Being a home owner is a major responsibility. Not only are you responsible for keeping up with home owners’ insurance, HOA fees and regular monthly bills. But you also have to watch out for needed repairs. If ignored too long, something that started off minor may turn into a grueling problem.

Roofing: Take roofing for example. Don’t wait until you see a leak inside your home before patching your roof. Often times, there are signs ahead of time that will indicate the need for a new roof.

Foundation: If you see a crack in the foundation, you may want to get it checked out. Other wise, you may soon see cracks inside the walls of your house.

Decks: A deck may seem like a good idea at first, but if you aren’t maintaining it properly it will fall apart.

Septic System: Every 3 to 5 years you may want to have your septic system pumped. Over time, cigarette butts and other debris may stop up the system.
