Where To Find Flood Insurance

The goal of residential flood insurance is to provide protection for your home in the event of a flood. Regular insurance doesn’t extend protection in the event of a flood. Coverage can be obtained through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). NFIP has a tool that will let you see whether your home is located in a flood prone zone. If you are, reach out to them for a quote.

They cover structures up to $250,000 and contents up to $100,000. If you need a place to stay temporarily, you’re out of luck. NFIP doesn’t cover that. No need to worry about being denied. The National Flood Insurance Program will offer coverage to almost anyone if your community participates in the program.
