When you’re job hunting, it can be tempting to take the first offer that comes along – especially if you’ve been unemployed a while. But before you agree to a new job, you should consider some things before saying yes, so you don’t end up miserable. In part 1 of “What To Look For Before Taking A New Job”, here’s one thing you should absolutely look for – turnover rate.

It’s important to find out what the turnover rate is like at a company. If a company disposes of employees too quickly, that’s a sign that people aren’t happy working there. Check to see if the average employee stays for a year or more. Also, if there are some employees who have been below the upper levels for a while that shows that the company doesn’t encourage growth.
